As the Founder and President of the National Taekwondo Program, a lifelong martial artist and retired Canadian Armed Forces Lieutenant(N), he built the NTKDP to make Taekwondo accessible, professional, and inclusive for students of all ages and abilities.
His focus is on safe training, high-quality instruction, and national-level standards that support growth from white belt to black belt.
Drawing from his operational service, instructional experience, and personal recovery from service-related injuries, Courtney believes martial arts should build resilience, confidence, and community.
Today, he leads the development of national curriculum, instructor certification pathways, and digital learning systems, ensuring that every student can train with dignity, respect, and pride.
